The Virginia Board of Workforce Development (VBWD) is requesting comments on the criteria, information requirements, and procedures for inclusion on Virginia’s Eligible Training Provider List.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires states to maintain a list of training provider programs that are eligible to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act WIOA Title I program participants for selection to meet their training needs and be funded through WIOA Title I Individual Training Accounts (ITA). The list is known as the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). The WIOA establishes the eligible training provider process as part of the overall strategy to ensure informed customer choice, performance accountability, and continuous improvement. This policy provides the eligibility criteria, required information, performance measures, reporting elements, and the application procedures for inclusion on Virginia’s ETPL.
