Zuzana K. Steen

Zuzana Steen is the Academic and Community Relations Manager for Micron Technology, Inc. and with her extensive knowledge of educational institutions, industry and non-profits, she is responsible for connecting Micron with education and community partners.  As a liaison to key constituencies in the area, Zuzana is working to foster positive relationships and strategic partnerships in the community around Micron Technology Virginia and throughout the Commonwealth.

Prior to joining Micron, Zuzana worked as the Executive Director of HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington c/o Marymount University and before then as the Assistant Director of Workforce Development and Head of International Relations at the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).

Zuzana is active in numerous educational and community organizations and currently serves on the College Board of the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA); Advisory Boards and Committees of the Virginia Career and Technical Education (CTE); Prince William County Schools (PWCS) CTE and Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) CTE; Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP); and the Northern Virginia Workforce Development Board (NVWDB).  Zuzana has also been passionately spending her energy and time on Executive Boards of the MCPS Education Foundation and SPARK, the Education Foundation for PWCS; Boards of the NOVA Educational Foundation; BELL, the Education Foundation for Manassas Park City Schools; and American Sokol Washington, D.C.  Zuzana is also the chair of the Virginia Microelectronics Consortium (VMEC) Operations Committee, co-chair of the Prince William Chamber Education and Innovation Committee, vice-chair of the George Mason University Science and Technology Campus Advisory Board; member of the Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church Missions Committee; and chair emerita of the NVTC Workforce and Education Committee.

Zuzana is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Prince William and 2003 graduate of Leadership Fairfax and its Emerging Leaders Institute.

Born, raised and educated in the Czech Republic and having lived in Prague, London, Hong Kong, and Seoul, Zuzana currently works, volunteers and resides in Manassas, VA with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Pavel and Milan.
