Dr. Daniel Lufkin
Dr. Lufkin became the 8th president of Paul D. Camp Community College on June 28, 2016.
He previously served as vice president for Student Affairs at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, Virginia from 2013-2016. Prior to Thomas Nelson, he worked for ten years at Maricopa County Community College District/Gateway in Phoenix, Arizona, serving in the roles of Athletic Director, Director of Student Life, and Dean of Enrollment Management.
In less than two years, Dr. Lufkin has enjoyed implementing new academic and workforce development programs at Paul D. Camp, delighted in getting to know students and faculty members, and has appreciated the overwhelming support from business and community leaders in the region. He is most proud, however, of his work serving underrepresented students as president at Paul D. Camp, as an elementary school teacher in South Phoenix, and as a teacher in higher education for many years.
Dr. Lufkin is a member of the Franklin Rotary and presides over a male mentoring program he established at Paul D. Camp. He is an avid reader, enjoys staying active through a variety of sports, and loves spending time with his wife Catey and their two young children, Lily and Layton.
